Patache d'Aux is the story of three families that began in 1660. Located in one of the most northerly parts of the Bordeaux wine-growing area, its geographical location sets it apart from other appellations further south, with its very specific climate.

Patache d'Aux is also the story of 3 very distinct terroirs as the « Bégadan », which is planted on a limestone slab that is unique in the region. Graves Garonnaises and Argiles Calcaires are the other two terroirs.

Since 2017, the new team has been working hard to enhance the value of the wine. A completely renovated winery and a parcel-based vat room enable us to produce top-quality wines.

All this work to raise Patache d’Aux brand had to be reflected in its communication. Atelier Le 5 therefore wrote a new positioning and a storytelling that capitalises on the geographical origin: Patache d'Aux, the great wine of the Nord Médoc.

To accompany this repositioning, the brand's identity and the graphic design of the label were revised. The brand identity was redesigned, the emblematic patache with its three horses was restyled and the brand's historic color code was optimized. As an extension of this work, Atelier Le 5 developed a brand book and a key visual blending the terroir of the northern Médoc and the symbol of the horse.
