An iconic Scotch Whisky brand created in 1923 by Berry Bros & Rudd, CUTTY SARK takes its name from the legendary three-masted clipper Cutty Sark, one of the fastest boats of its time.
This light, fresh, smooth, easy-drinking blend was developed specifically for the American market. Particularly popular during Prohibition, CUTTY SARK was the first scotch to sell a million boxes a year in the USA.
The iconic design of the famous yellow label and sailboat was made by the famous Scottish artist James McBey.
For the record, the unchanging yellow colour code since the creation of the brand is due to a printing error - it should normally have been cream.

After writing the storytelling and positioning for this new benchmark, L'atelier Le 5 chose to capitalize on the brand's historic color code and work on double labeling to design a graphic package that reflects the qualitative positioning of this 12-year-old. At the same time, Le 5 designed the press kit and launch video.
Aged in oak casks, this scotch whisky is a tribute to the history of CUTTY SARK, its visual heritage and its iconic dimension.
