BORDEAUX
YVECOURT
YVECOURT began with the story of Yvon MAU, who has been established in Bordeaux for five generations.
In 1897, Aristide MAU set up the company in Gironde-Sur-Dropt, but it was his son Yvon who travelled the vineyards in a Grand Bi in search of the best wines. In fact, at the end of the 19th century, Aristide travelled by horse-drawn cart, but during the war, due to the requisition, he had to travel by Grand Bi: that’s how the legend was born.
Closer to home, in 1976, the brand launched a totally innovative concept for the Bordeaux region at the time: an accessible, non-vintage wine for everyone to enjoy. A first brand was created, Virecourt, inspired by the village where the historic winery was located. This brand changed its name by YVECOURT, a contraction of Yvon and Virecourt.
After redefining the brand's platform, Atelier Le 5 chose to take a strong, breakthrough graphic approach to this wine. Gone is the traditional engraved illustration of the vines and the estate, a commonplace in this category, and enter a colorful label based on the Grand Bi, a reference to the brand's history.
Simple and accessible with cheerful colours, the new graphic identity created by Le 5 reflects the renewal of Yvecourt, confident in the future but proud of its past.
