The son of a compagnon du devoir and the last link in a line of stonemasons, Xavier Vignon is an insatiable explorer of the terroir who has built a career to match his curiosity, through encounters, innovation and experimentation, coupled with a unifying spirit cast in the culture of an omnipresent French art de vivre. Every Xavier Vignon creation is meaningful, committed, passionate and generous. Xavier Vignon has always loved science, rigor and reason.

After a 10-year tour of France and numerous trips to the southern hemisphere, Xavier Vignon decided to establish himself permanently as a consultant oenologist in the Côtes du Rhône region.

He was one of the pioneers of the region's revival, daring to use new methods, shaking up codes to get the best out of a terroir known at the time only through a few appellations.

For Xavier Vignon, Atelier Le 5 developed the concept of l'idée du vin, to summarize his original and unprecedented creative approach. This concept will serve as a guideline for the renewal of all communications, from the creation of the new website to the design of the new L'Esprit Français offering, a brand of unconventional, freedom-loving wines.
