Grand Vin
Chateau Margaux
A tribute to an exceptional year, to two centuries of architecture, and to Paul Pontallier, General Manager of Château Margaux from 1989 to 2016. For the first time in its history, and only for this vintage, Château Margaux wanted to create a special packaging for its Grand Vin.
This wine is one of Château Margaux's exceptional vintages. It benefited from optimal weather conditions, it celebrates the bicentenary of Château Margaux's architecture, and it is the last to have been supervised by Paul Pontallier.
Atelier Le 5 chose to work on an exceptional silkscreen instead of the usual label. Modern and elegant, this silkscreen mirrors the image of Château Margaux.
The Château and the new winery designed by Norman Foster are superimposed in gold and grey. Two silk-screened lines at the bottom of the bottle, like a signature, pay tribute to Paul Pontallier.
More recently, Atelier Le 5 created Pavillon Blanc centenrary's graphic identity, 1920/2020, with elegance, refinement and discretion.
